"Fireplace Tool Set"
Jeff Mohr
Class runs: July 6-9
Tuition: $550
Material fee: $50
Skill level: Seasoned beginner and up

Students who want to learn and apply basic and advanced forging techniques will explore a wide variety of skills and designs as they complete a standing fireplace set during the class. We will begin with the poker, shovel, broom handle, tongs and stand. As we work through each piece, we will examine how the techniques can be applied to many other projects. On the last day we will finish up with a lesson on tying your own broom.

Jeff Mohr has been forging since 1981 where he had originally been tying brooms for other blacksmith’s fire tools. Since then he has studied under many blacksmiths around the country. He is an active member of ABANA as well as his local chapter in Florida. Jeff was also a member of the Whitaker Ring Team at the 1998 ABANA Conference, he produces a variety of interior and exterior architectural work.
