Winter Session

      Throughout the doldrums of winter you will find an active arrangement of workshops at the New England School of Metalwork. As with the typical weather conditions of northern New England, it is difficult and risky to bring in all of our instructors and students alike from around the country. Fortunately our own resident blacksmith Dereck Glaser is at hand. As a much needed break from the keyboard and scheduling, Dereck teaches the majority of the standard Winter Session workshops. We also offer workshops by well known regional craftsmen in specialty areas.

       Rest assured there is plentiful heat and ambition to get you through the winter; whether you just want a basic class or are interested in forging your first hammer head, or first knife blade, we have a class to suit your needs.
