STUDENT QUALIFICATIONS
The main requirement for participation in workshops or classes at the New England School of Metalwork is the desire to learn. Our students range from beginners to seasoned professionals. Our classes are small, up to seven students and there is a lot of opportunity for one-on-one teaching.
However, there are a few courses for which we expect a certain minimum skill level, and that is stated in the individual course descriptions. If you have any questions about the suitability of a course for you, please contact us through the contact us page specifying which class you wish to enroll in.
REGISTRATION
Registration is complete upon receipt by the New England School of Metalwork of a complete enrollment form and the full payment of tuition and reciept of your signed registration form. You will receive your registration confrimation and related information within ten days of payment. If a course is already full, you may choose to be put on a waiting list and immediately notified when there is an opening.
You may wish to call the New England School of Metalwork first to make sure that there is room in the course you want. If we have an opening, we may be able to reserve it for you while you get your application in. This is an especially good idea in late spring and summer but depends on the demand of the class in question.
TUITION, REFUNDS, WITHDRAWALS, and CANCELLATIONS
Tuitions vary according to our costs and the length of the course. You will find the tuition amount printed below each course description.
As our class sizes are small, only payments in full will guarantee a position in a class. We will accept cash, check or credit cards.
You may terminate your registration at any time. To do so you must inform the New England School of Metalwork in writing. Termination will become effective on the date that the written notice was received and any refund will be made in consideration of this date. No verbal requests to terminate enrollment will be honored as official notification to terminate from the program.
If you terminate less than 14 days before the start date of your workshop, you will not receive any refund of money paid to the New England School of Metalwork.
If you must terminate, at least 14 days prior notice to the start date must be made to receive a full refund of the class tuition.
If your notice of cancellation is received between 15 and 30 days prior to the course, your tuition is not refundable, but can be credited toward future courses later in the season.
In case of emergency or insufficient number of registrations, the New England School of Metalwork reserves the right to cancel a course and return all deposit money. Because of this policy, we strongly urge you to buy refundable airline tickets or flight insurance. The New England School of Metalwork will not be responsible for any loss on non-refundable airline tickets.
There is no alumni discount on workshops, however if you plan on enrolling in two or more workshops you will only pay the $25.00 registration fee once.
