Gerry Galuza

Gerry Galuzahas been blacksmithing for 37 years starting at 3 years old with his father who had spent 53 years in his shop. Starting Hockomock Bay Blacksmith shop in 1971 Gerry has worked in many areas of metalworking. He has outfitted a number of ships, is a shipwright, wheelwright, millwright and blacksmith. Gerry does antique reproductions, spiral staicases railings and gates for homes and businesses as well as indoor and outdoor furniture. Gerry opened "Galuza and Assco. Gallery 3 years ago in Wiscasset where his and other artist work can be seen. “I try to make items that make people happy” a lot of it is whimsical in nature using natural forms as a foundation for my design.
